4X4 CIRCUITS / 4 DAYS – MARRAKECH – MHAMID DUNES –  TREKKING – CHEGAGA DUNES- MARRAKECH

 

Day 1

Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Agdz – Zagora -M’hamid

Appointment early in the morning at 8 am. Departure by 4×4 from your hotel to Ouarzazate passing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, Right after the pass, by the small mountain road which will lead us also to the kasbah of Tamdakhte and the kasbah of  Ait Ben Haddou classified to the patrimony of the UNESCO, we will have lunch in one of the restaurants overhere.
After lunch departure to Zagora, , stop at Agdz, for a panoramic view of the Draa Valley, continuation along the valley by the track on the left bank side to Tanskhirt, end of the track. Direction Zagora to M’hamid, on the road stop in Tamgroute for the visit (if interested) of the Koranic library, the underground kasbah and pottery making.
Continuation to the desert at bivouac Laila,  installation in your tent and welcome tea with cookies nuts and olives in our relax space at the camp. In the evening dinner with music around the campfire, night in nomad tent.
 
 

 

Day 2

Meharées in the desert
Departure from the camp after breakfast ± 9.00 a.m. for a hike, with the camels and your guide.
After a few hours we will have a nice picnic at the palm grove ( Raz Nahal )
After lunch we continue our walk crossing the small dunes looking for a nice place to spend the night.
 (DOUIB), this is where we pitch our tent for the night.
After a nice evening meal you can enjoy the silence of the desert and listing to some old stories about the real desert life told by our quide.
Night under the stars!!!!!

Day 3

The dunes of erg chegaga
 In the morning after breakfast we continue our  trekking with the dromedaries, you will have plenty of time to admire the desert in its majestic simplicity, to immerse yourself in its grandiose landscapes until lunch followed by a good moment of rest.
In the afternoon,  a 4×4 will pick you up to bring you to the dunes of Erg Chegaga just in time to watch the beautiful sunset on the high dunes.
In the evening a nice traditionelle dinner at the camp with music around the campfire.
Night in tents.

Day 4

Chegaga – Iriqui Lake – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
 
Departure to Marrakech by the track between the erg of Chegaga and the dried bed of Drâa passing by the lake Iriqui, (vast surface of sand) then by Foum Zguid where we find the road, continuation to Taznakht, City of carpet cooperatives. Lunch .Then drive to Marrakech, several stops will be made between Taznakht and Marrakech before arriving at your hotel.
Arrival time 19.00 hrs.

Practical information

Depart from M’hamid in the afternoon

Price inclusive:

  • camel ride
  • lunch in the open desert or in the shade
    of a palm tree
  • overnight stay in a Nomad tent at Bivouac
    Laila and an overnight in bivouac Chegaga
  • 2x evening meals and 2x breakfast, a bottle of water is included with dinner and breakfast.
  • transfer by 4×4 from Mhamid to Chegaga and back.

What should I bring with me?
