Back to basic, back to the Sahara. Take some time off grid. Explore new horizons with this desert trip. It combines the best of cultural and Nomad life in the South of Morocco. From M’hamid to Erg Chegaga.

Day 1

Experience traditional nomadic life. This tour starts from Mhamid, the “Gate of the desert”,and brings you to the real desert where you will experience a traditional nomadic life. The camel ride will take you through beautiful parts of the Sahara in the closer periphery of Mhamid, including small sand dunes (Erg), tamarisk trees and stone desert (hammada). After a nice camel walk we will have a lunch break under a large tamaris tree.
Here you can relax while drinking Moroccan tea while our camel driver will show you the traditionelle way of baking bread in the sand, of course we will taste the bread during our lunch.
After lunch we continue our walk to encounter nomad tribes and experience their unique world, traditions and customs.

In the late afternoon we’ll reach our bivouac at El Mezouaria in the middle of the sand dunes, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and listen to local music around the campfire. Overnight in tents.

Day 2

Admire an unforgettable sunrise with morning breeze on the dunes around the camp.
Breakfast is served in our Restaurant or in the open air.
After breakfast we go back by 4×4 to the village of Mhamid, where arrival is expected around 10:30 am. at our office.
