This short trekking tour fits perfectly in your vacation when you are staying in Marrakech, Ouarzazate or Mhamid. Discover the Sahara desert with Desert Bivouac. You will be visiting our two Bivouacs, El Mezouaria and Chegaga. 3 Days starting from M’hamid

Day 1: Bivouac Laila

Meet in the afternoon at our travel agency Maroc Desert Experience in M’Hamid. A drive by 4×4 takes us past the palm tree groves on our way to Bivouac Laila. Arriving at our bivouac, we will show you your tent, for your first overnight in our camp, while our chef is making a nice welkcome tea with cookies, nuts and olives. Now you have some time to discover the camp and the nice dunes sourrounding it. In the early evening you will go by camel to watch the beautiful sunset.
In the evening we will be serving a nice traditional dinner in our restaurant. In the meantime our staff is preparing the campfire where we will enjoying the music performed by local Nomads. Sitting arround the campfire our staff will inform you about the programm for the comming days.
Overnight stay in a Nomad tent at the Bivouac.

Day 3: Chegaga – M’Hamid

Early in the morning you can watch the sunrise in the dunes outside the camp. Afterwards breakfast is served in our restaurant.
We leave around 9:00 am to M’hamid by 4×4 along another road trough the desert.
Arrival time in our office around 11:00 am. at our office.

Day 2: Bivouac Laila – Chegaga

After breakfast, we will leave Camp Laila by 4×4 to start our adventure trip to the high dunes of Chegaga passing the amazing desert landscape to the Sacred Oasis (Holy Oasis). The Sacred Oasis consist of a small group of palm trees around a water source in the middle of the desert, running all year long. The Nomads come here with their thirsty camels.
At this beautiful place we will have lunch in the shade of palms and the tamarisk trees. After lunch we sit down and have some time to relax to absorp the vibration of this beautiful and sacred place.
We continu our trip to the dunes of Chegaga, the largest group of sanddunes of the region, reaches 300 metres hight and 40 kilometres in length.
Arriving at our desert camp Chegaga you will meet our staff and they will be serving you a delicious welcome tea. Afterwards you have time to put your luggage in your tent and explore the camp. In the late afternoon we will be going to the high dunes, here you can walk to the top (if you are in good shape…) Here you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and admire the immensity of the endless dunes around you. You even can try sandboarding, it is really fun! After staying a while we have to go back to the camp where the staff prepared our dinner.
After dinner you can sit back and relax arround the campfire enjoying the music played by the young people from the camp.
You can spend the night in your tent or under a starry sky.
